What is the GAD-7 anxiety test

The GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7) is a brief 7-question screening questionnaire used to assess the severity of generalized anxiety disorder symptoms over the past 2 weeks.

How it works

You rate how often you've been bothered by certain symptoms (tension, anxious thoughts, irritability, difficulty relaxing, etc.) over the past two weeks, on a scale from 0 ("not at all") to 3 ("nearly every day").

This is not a diagnostic tool — it doesn't replace a consultation with a doctor or psychotherapist, but simply helps you quickly assess your symptom levels and decide whether it's worth seeking professional help.
